Protect your Link Variants
In Avatar Mode, rather than playing a upper-level controller, you will be a character on the battlefield. You will need to protect yourself, and seek out your foes Avatar.
In this variant, players do not have a knockout total.
At the end of each players first turn, they search their deck for any one character, which they call instantly. The character chosen may not have "Alt Lock" or "Burst". While calling them, place 5 Avatar counters on them. This character is called your Avatar.
If Avatar would be destroyed, remove 1 Avatar counter from them and add 1 level 1 link to them. If you would have to remove the last Avatar counter from your Avatar, you have lost the battle.
In Duo Play, two players work together to defeat another team. You will be working in concert, and trying to thwart your foes plans.
In this variant, each team shares their knockout total. The kill point is still at 10 knockouts.
